About me

6.jpeg

I started my career as an engineer and spent 18+ years in financial services across consulting, investment banking and asset management. Prior to becoming a psychologist and executive coach, I spent 10 years at Insight Investment, most recently as the Deputy Head of Client Relationship Management. Before Insight, I spent four years at Credit Suisse, in structured sales within the investment bank, four years as a strategy consultant with Coalition Development, and two years as an engineer with Schlumberger. My varied career has taught me an enormous amount - not just about each industry, and finance in particular - but also about drive, resilience, politics, pressure, managing stress, people and relationships, and thriving in challenging environments.

In 2018, I was faced with an enormous personal challenge when my daughter, Aya, was born with a tumour on her spine. This was, initially, a harrowing experience, but the care we received was second to none and the outcome was inspiring. That year, while devastating at first, has also become a great source of strength, optimism, purpose and determination; a reminder that we can do hard things, and that even the darkest clouds can have silver linings. A seed was planted, and while I returned to my career at Insight, I slowly began seeking a new intellectual challenge and a stronger sense of purpose in my job.

In 2022, I pursued a Master of Science at University College London (UCL) in Psychological Sciences with a view to helping myself and others to better understand themselves: the connection between their brain, mind and body, and what drives our behaviour. Through coaching, I began to put theory and research into practice, helping clients to optimise their happiness and daily performance. I graduated with a Distinction in 2024. My core research is on decision making, notably belief polarisation and bias in the context of ambiguous evidence, and I continue to do research with UCL on an on-going basis. This access to research is key to my practice today: the ability to update, change one's mind and evolve in light of new information is a essential.

I am now a psychologist (accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS)). I have managed, coached and mentored individuals and teams within industry for over 15 years, and I received my personal professional coaching accreditations from the Academy of Executive Coaching (AoEC) and the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC) in March 2024.

I am passionate about bringing together resilience, ambition and good mental health practices, while supporting clients to achieve their goals in a nurturing, fun and challenging way. I coach with curiosity, courage, compassion and connection. My existing clients work in a range of senior roles across various industries. I work with an international client-base, offering both in person and online coaching. I spend 20% of my time doing pro-bono work with clients who could not afford my services otherwise.

Outside of work, I am blessed with three (slightly mad) children and a husband who keep me humble, grateful and on my toes. I am a keen runner and love a range of sports. Together with our gorgeous dog Cooper, I volunteer through Pets as Therapy in a range of schools, hospitals and care homes in central London. I also volunteer and raise funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity in particular, where I serve as a director on the Friendship Ball committee. â€‹

I am fluent in English, French, Spanish and Arabic.
